Cursed Fate version 0.2


Version 0.2 is the first major post-jam update.
Big things here are the custom curtain assets I added to the windows (and some lighting inside the castle) and restructuring the way the window cool-down works to be window dependent versus player. This should make it really obvious whether or not you can use a window again. In addition I also added a new '!' icon to replace the 'Enter' label placeholder for the windows. The cool-down is longer than it was on the player making it even harder to reuse a window you just came through so I think the difficulty may be slightly higher.

I also tweaked the player movement so I think it feels a lot more smooth, quicker acceleration and more friction for less sliding to a stop. This should also help balance out the difficulty increase from the window cool-downs.

Art-wise I've added a nice fog effect that gets stronger throughout the night. I like the visibility issues it presents although I may look into a mode that can ignore that + the darkening for people with visibility issues.
Added flicker effect to the torch & window lighting.
Added new custom textures/collisions for the 'crates' that were previously just walls from the Kenney pack.
Changed the ground texture to a grass+dirt one.
Added a couple of animated grass strands to the foreground.

Behind the scenes: Changed some of the collision polygons that made up the other 'floors' of the castle to multiple rectangles to ensure perfectly level floors.

Plans:
For the next update I will most likely continue focusing on wrapping up the exterior.
I want to create custom assets for the ledges and remake them with more precise collisions and also implement the ability to drop down through them.
I also want to give the castle more height between the levels. This will help with the transitions of perspective since the detection ranges will not be as close and it will also focus the exterior game-play a bit more on platforming.
